Description Masaki Katakai 2007-06-08 05:06:10 UTC
By the fixing of bug 97848, we can specify the encoding of source files in
Encoding field.
It's great! Thank you for working on it.

But I have two problems in current implementation.

- Many encoding are being listed in menu

It seems that available encoding names are all listed. It's not easy to find the
specific one,
how about displaying only useful ones? Some of them "x-...." should be disable??

- How to get the platform encoding easily ?

The default is UTF-8. When user want to set to the default encoding of IDE,
which is the easiest way to find the encoding? I think we should provide a way
to showing the default encoding.

not sure how to decide which ones are "important" and which are not. I suppose someone will complain in any case.
