Description alandavidson2 2007-02-14 15:34:04 UTC
Here is how to lose the dialog:

1) Open the "Add Project" dialog.
2) Leave it open to do something with another application.

The dialog gets lost "behind" the other windows. The Studio UI will hang until
the dialog is found and closed.

Restoring Studio to the "front" by clicking its task bar icon does not show the
dialog.

From experience with other programs, the only way to bring the dialog to the
front is to use "Show the Desktop" (Win-M does not work in this case). Then do
the following:

1) Launch Task Manager.
2) In the "Applications" tab, click Studio.
3) Click "Switch To" and close Task Manager.

The "Add Project" dialog is restored on top of the Studio window.

The "Add Project" dialog should always be on top of the Studio window (is that
modal?), and should never be able to hide behind its parent.

The following dialog also gets lost behind windows:

1) Right-click on a project in the tree.
2) Click "Resolve Reference Problems" (if available).
The "Resolve Reference Problems" dialog appears.
4) Highlight a problem. Click "Resolve".
The "Browse Project Repository" dialog appears.

This dialog can get lost if another application is now clicked.

Note that the "Resolve Reference Problems" dialog mentioned above never gets
lost. If Studio is activated by clicking its task bar icon, then the child
dialog always appears with its parent.
