Can we expect to have different perspectives feature like in Eclipse IDE? It is very convenient to configure different layout of windows/views and switch them if you change your activity type. For example to have one perspective for code editing and different one for debugging.
We used to have "workspaces" , but few year ago we leaved such perspectives and start to use current Window System. If you run debugger - some windows are opened - windows you are probably interested in. SO the IDE does in case you start to use Form Editor. So, what exactly are you missing in current Window System ? Thanks in advance.
Yes, you are right when you launch debugger NetBeans opens debugg related views in the output window. But you need to resize output window to view this, also you might want to remove some views you don't use during debugging to free more space on the screen. And then when you want to make some code changes you might resize output window, change layout of some views for your convenience. I guess I just used to have ability to use different perspectives. But I understand that it was your decision to remove this feature. I remember that some time ago you had a poll on some debugg enhancement features but as far as I remember there were no option to vote for specific features like ability to have special debug perspective. Maybe you could organize new survey to define most wanted debugg features and insert into the list such features as "debugg perspective", "evaluate expression", "execute expression" (see issue 92629) and some other possible features. I would appreciate this. Thanks.
