The problem happens when:

a)  selecting File > New Project

or 
b) when right-clicking in the projects window ans electing new project.

The problem does not happen when pressing the New Project button

this bug is fixed in 5.5 post beta2 builds. 5.5 final release will be availible
soon. Thanks for report anyway
