1.Open any c or c++ file in editor space,
2. open Tools/Options/Advanced Options/Editing/Editor Settings/C and C++
Editor/Font and Colors/ 
3. Change any option without "cc-" prefix. Font, Background Color or Foreground
Color  - any.
4. Push Ok, Ok, Close in opened dialogs.
5. Changed options have no effect in opened source file.
6. Restart netbeans => changed options have no effect in opened source also.

Hope it will be solved after moving on new Options engine
