1.Open any c or c++ file in editor space,
2. open Tools/Options/Advanced Options/Editing/Editor Settings/C and C++
Editor/Font and Colors/ 
3. Change any option with "cc-" prefix. Font, Background Color or Foreground
Color  - any.
4. Push Ok, Ok, Close in opened dialogs.
5. Changed options have no effect in opened source file.
6. Restart netbeans => only then changed options have effect in opened source.

Plan to fix it by moving on new NB standard, so it will be duplicating of
(http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=73342)?

Fixed. No more Font and Colors in Advanced Options for C/C++, new
Options->Font&Color and changes are applied after closing Options dialog
