i am using the latest beta version of netbeans 5 and whilst i am developing an application the IDE spontaneously shuts itself down with no error messages or warnings
Can you track down what exactly are you doing, when IDE closes?
sometimes when trying to compile a project sometimes when saving or sometimes when calling the auto complete function but most of the time not because that crashes netbeans when you type the brackets at the end so i turned it off but other times just when typing in anything from variable names to comments or even when nothing at all is happening and netbeans is just sitting in the background minimized maximized active window non active window i don't see a pattern in when or why it is closing
Can you inspect your message log? Is there any error related to this problem? Can you attach your message log after the problem occured. ("<userdir>/user\var\log\messages.log") Thanks.
