It would be really nice and improve productivity a lot if you could store, restore and directly switch between different arrangements of window in the IDE. This could be done via a submenu "Arrangments" (or something similar) at the top of the "Window" menu. This submenu would hold the following entries: - Entry "Create new arrangement..." would open a new dialog where you can specify a name and take the current window arrangtement and store it under that name. - Entry "Restore current arrangement" to restore the current arrangement to the state under which it was stored. - Submenu "Stored arrangement" where you can select and hence switch to a stored arrangement. In essence I would like to see something that is similar (or actually basically the same) to the perspective functionality that can be found in Eclipse. You can also take a look there what other perspective functionalities are available and perhaps sensible in the Netbeans context.
