choose profile application and the window with various choices comes up - the labels and messages are not from bundle file I realize there might be many other messages missing; the profiler jars do have various empty bundle files. Since we are already starting the beta2 process for promo e, and since l10n work begins in earnest at beta2 release, and since i18n testing needs to be as complete as possible by then, it helps to have messages and other i18n things in place as soon as possible. for specific product i18n requirements and guidelines, please see http://dpweb.sfbay/teams/DeveloperTools_I18N/i18ninformation.html also, devsummary.txt in that same location.
I havent had profiler windows themselves come up yet since still setting it up, but assuming any information in graphical or chart kind of areas, if translatable, will also come from bundle files. ken.frank@sun.com
This is known, full I18N is planned for later milestones. Understand the need to do this sooner rather than later for NB 4.1, so raising the priority of this work accordingly.
Planned for M4
Is there, or can there be, a sun internal iteam kind of alias for profiler (if not already) thru netadmin, for QE, docs, and other downstream folks ? ken.frank@sun.com
Partially done in M4. Remaining work will be done in M5.
Done for M5. Further work to be done in M6.
Postponing further work to M7
just checking back about this task - although RR of profiler probably wont be localized, very soon after, the next nb will be released and profiler will be localized, so it will really help to have all i18n done by profiler RR, which will give time for testing, and also, for any non l10n type of i18n issues, will not impact RR users of profiler. ken.frank@sun.com 06/03/2005
To be done during M8/M9
Will do in M9.
Fixed for M9.
