It might be useful to have tab called Libraries that would show all libraries the similar way how Library Manager does. User would be able to manage libraries (adding/removing/modifying) in this tab. Node would show: LibrayName - Sources - /usr/library/src - Classes - /usr/library/library.jar - Javadoc - /usr/library/docs/api Adding contents of Sources, Classes and Javadoc nodes will be possible in the new Tab. As well as modifying order of subnodes etc. Some easy way of transfering selected library to projects should be supported.
I guess I don't see any particular reason to take a working dialog and just convert it into a tab, but maybe Jano will have a different opinion.
IMO tab is better accessible and usable than dialog with three other tabs, where I need to open the dialog select the tab then Add something and then select it. Using the tab: you do one click to select the Libraries tab then right click on the node of library and select Add something.
Jano should decide. But to be honest I really dislikle this idea. Sounds like another runtime tab which we have hard time getting rid of. And why to add another tab to explorer for something the user needs for 1% of time.
Probably issue #49641 would obsolete this.
Obsoleted by Libraries node.
