Description schalkn 2003-08-10 14:24:13 UTC
I am having a problem with the Update Centre that I have
experienced before when still using SunONE Studio. After
downloading a new module via the Update Wizard, I select
the option of closing the IDE and automatically restarting
the IDE and installing the new module/s. What happens now
is that the NetBeans Updater starts and then hangs without
installing the module. After terminating the process via
the Windows Task Manager, the IDE open up.

When I close the IDE, the Updater starts again but hangs,
after terminating the process the IDE opens, when I close
the IDE the Updater starts again

If I restart my computer the IDE opens and closes without
this problem persisting. I am using NetBeans 3.5.1 on
WindowsXP.

Kind Regards

"If I restart my computer the IDE opens and closes without
this problem persisting." - This is not the case anymore,
even after restarting the cycle still continues.

Which module, from which server do you download? What does your log
file contain? Are there any exceptions thrown?

Comment 5 Jiri Rechtacek 2004-02-24 20:49:13 UTC
There is no response for a long time (to Hrebejk's question), I cannot
investigate what's wrong => I have to close as INVALID.
