Description Jan Pokorsky 2003-03-24 18:32:12 UTC
I am using a build release35 200303202210. The
userdir created with a build dev 200209040100 is
unrecognized by the settings import wizard. The
wizard guesses that the selected userdir is
invalid or it contains an unknown version of the
IDE. So I am not able to import any settings.

used build:
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 3.5 Dev (Build
200303202210)

imported userdir:
Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build
200209040100)

that's fine. Dev build is considered a newer version of the IDE than
3.5. We only import settings from previous versions not from future
versions.

A bit inconvenient for users testing the IDE but it makes sense. In
case of q-builds of release35 (and betas) imports should be working.
These builds have to be backward compatible, don't they? The import
wizard ignores release35 userdirs.
