When combining netbeans dev 201712110002 with oracle java 9 (9.0.0), the terminal output is messed up.

See screenshot for Java 9. Java 8 output is as usual.

The terminal feature is very useful but unusable in the combination mentioned.

When building and running incubating-netbeans as proposed in https://github.com/apache/incubator-netbeans,

the bug is no longer present.

I followed the steps as given on the incubator page in the exact order and the first thing I tried and noticed is the above.

Mh. To early with my previous warning.

ant tryme picked up java 8 as the jdk.

When setting nbbuild/netbeans/etc/netbeans.conf
in 
netbeans_jdkhome=/usr/lib/jvm/java-9-oracle/

the problem is reprodicably back again.
Pity.
