Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.2 (Build 201609300101)
Operating System = Linux version 4.4.0-43-generic running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_102
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.102-b14

Reproducibility: Happens every time

STEPS:
  * Open netbeans on linux

ACTUAL:
  Start/Welcome screen shows an error:  "Error loading content" for 'Featured Demo'
  This works with 8.1.2 and works with 8.2 on my Windows laptop.
  I will attach a screenshot
  The netbeans log doesn't give me anything enlightening.

EXPECTED:
  message pops up

I should also mention that the internal browser works (e.g. google.com)

Might be a problem with the demo it self?
