in general it is possible to run an java project on remote machine as described here

http://wiki.netbeans.org/JavaSEEmbeddedHowTo#Set_up_Remote_Platform

this option however is not available for maven based projects. Please, add the possibility to run and debug java projects remotely.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
