Created attachment 140181 [details] JVisualvm application snapshot Netbeans stopped working after hitting ctrl-Q (it should have reopened a file that I had just closed). It looks like the AWT thread is blocked somewhere - I have reduced and re-enlarged the size of the main window and the part that was hidden is not being repainted any more.

It happened again, with nb 7.4 RC1. This time I had just edited a file in the "diff" window.

It happened twice in two hours today, after applying mercurial queues patches from the command line
