This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.4 Beta (Build 201307092200) Operating System = Linux version 3.8.0-26-generic running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_25 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.25-b01 I have reported many bugs related to regressions in color contrast since Netbeans 5.5. I think it will be useful if someone designs unit tests to avoid these problems repeating over and over in new versions of Netbeans, or at least let the user change the main colors to avoid poor contrast issues in many different parts of the IDE. * Which LAF do you use? It doesn't look like Dark Nimbus nor Dark Metal. * Try a nightly build. Since the 7.4beta there were many fixes regarding dark themes.
Reporter, thanks for the report .... 1. please report one problem in one issue 2. I think many of those mentioned are already fixed in current trunk - so please try latest daily build http://bits.netbeans.org/download/trunk/nightly/latest/ 3. what L&F you have chosen & what Color schema for Editor ? (please add this info into each Dark like bug) Thanks in advance.
Created attachment 138199 [details] Color Profile for the Editor @Marian I will try the latest version and report back. I am using the GTK look and feel from my desktop (Linux Mint), which is themed with Delorean Dark 3.8 I created a Color Profile for the editor to (kind of) match the desktop dark theme that I'm attaching to this bug. Let me know if you need more information.
The latest daily build looks fine so far. I will use it extensively to see if I find any color problems.
