Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.4 Beta (Build 201307092200) Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.8.4 running on x86_64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_15 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.7-b01 Right clicking the editor window and choosing 'Select in Projects' does nothing it seems. I would expect the tree view of the Project window to expand and highlight the appropriate folder.

reassigning to Projects
with Select in Projects, it's critical to know: 1. what file are we talking about, what is the path to the file from project root. 2. what project type is involved 3. Is the file accessible from the project root node? closing as incomplete, please reopen with the details outlined above.
OK. Brand new install and working. No plugins added yet, so will work through the list slowly seeing which one it is. Thank you for checking.
Seems the old Open File Fast plugin gets in the way. Deactivating the plugin and restarting Netbeans 7.4 Beta and the functionality is back as expected. This seems to be a very old plugin and is now suffering from lack of maintenance. Shame as it is exactly what I want. But the "Select in Projects" functionality trumps this, so, ho hum.
