Search Filesystems is modal, although other search dialogs and result of this search is non-modal. This looks strange.
Set target milestone to TBD
Implementor must be aware of the fact that some clients like VCS search types depended on this behaviour, it allows to pass context via static fields. After change these clients must be required to use ThreadLocals.
Well, I don't have problems with the current behavior. The Search Filesystems is usually filled immediately and IMHO it's O.K., that it is modal. The user just enter desired information and run the search. There is no need to do anything else in the mean time. But the result must be non-modal to be able to view the found files and perform other actions. I don't think this looks strange. Is this a UI requirement?
