Description Petr Jiricka 2012-07-12 12:39:26 UTC
1. Starting with a clean userdir, create a Client-side project with a html page
2. Switch the browser to Embedded browser
3. Run the project, browser window will appear asking you to specify JavaFX location
4. Specify the location

=> Window will be refreshed, but will be displayed without the toolbar

The workaround is to close the tab and run the file again.

This still does not work for me correctly with:

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build EaselCSS-424-on-20120802)
Java: 1.7.0_04; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.0-b21
System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_US (nb)
JavaFX 2.2 build 20

After I specify the JavaFX location, the toolbar is there, but it's disabled (it's not possible to click anything), and the selection button is not there. Attaching a screenshot.

Note: a workaround is to close the browser window and reopen it.

Replacing "Specify JavaFX platform path" placeholder with the real Embedded Browser is causing few other problems. See for example issue 217125:

- create HTML 5 project
- right-click html node in projects view and choose Run File
- provide JavaFX runtime
- right-click Web Browser tab and choose Float
- modify html in editor and save it
- broser is NOT refreshed
- now click to browser and it gets refreshed
