Java: 1.7.0_05; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.1-b03
System: Mac OS X version 10.7.4 running on x86_64; UTF-8; en_US (nb)
User directory: /Users/tester/Library/Application Support/NetBeans/dev
Cache directory: /Users/tester/Library/Caches/NetBeans/dev

1.Start IDE
2.File | New Project
3.Select Java | Java Application
4.Check "Use dedicated folder for storing libraries" 
5.Cancel

6.File | New Project
7.Select Java | Java Application

RESULT: "Use dedicated folder for storing libraries" is unchecked.

I do not think it was ever specified as being persistent, though it could be.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
