Fresh user dir used, fresh installation of 7.1beta.
Steps to reproduce:
- create new Java Web Application, GlassFish 3.1.1, Java 6 Web
- index.jsp is opened, open Pallete from Window|Pallete
=> The Pallete window is empty. HTML files are also not working.

FYI it works with php project and php files.

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.1 Beta (Build 201109212202)
Java: 1.7.0; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 21.0-b17
System: Linux version 2.6.38-11-generic running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

I'm looking already ... I reckon this is a regression of the "history" tab introduction just before branching.

I wouldn't worry about the palette much (as for beta) since it is not used much AFAIK.

Ok, let's say ... if you are not able to fix it today (by 10pm CEST) we will leave it as it is now in Beta, and definitely fix in FCS ...

we used to use some proprietary legacy system to bind the palette to the editor component which stopped working after the top component was switched to the multiview component. I've removed all the legacy code and used the mimelookup to register the palettes.
