Description kakacek 2011-06-07 09:43:44 UTC
Whenever I start the NetBeans IDE, it reports an unexpected exception (my other issue reported and rejected as a duplicate), displays that is is "Opening Projects" and virtually hangs (does not report frozen to OS) but cannot be used any way, cannot be closed gracefully. All I can do about it is to "Force Quit" (kill) it.

The single project being auto open is Python.

I am enforced to grade down to the NetBeans 6.9.

I'm sorry you had difficulties. While we are still experiencing exceptions, the issue of the IDE hanging has been fixed.

Current instructions for installation of Python Support on NetBeans IDE can be found at: http://wiki.netbeans.org/PythonInstall

This is now a community-supported project, endeavoring to return Python support to NetBeans. For more, see https://netbeans.org/projects/python/pages/Home
