Artifact nodes are displayed with excessive spaces in labels, inappropriate icons, etc. Should clean up the display.

Attached patch helps somewhat, but some code needs to be reworked since it mixes internal keys with display labels.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
