Description Jesse Glick 2010-03-26 16:43:06 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 100326-2cd226712a44)
Operating System = Linux version 2.6.31-20-generic running on i386
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_18
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 16.0-b13

I opened Team > Find Issues and it took several seconds, so I reported it as slow. The Exception Reporter window then said

NetBeans Error Report Upload Complete
It has now been added to the exception database with id #360441. It has been classified as a duplicate of report #158866.
This bug was already fixed.
Please update your build of NetBeans to the latest build of 6.9 where bug #174225 is fixed. If you are already using a newer build new bug will be filled automatically.
Additional comments:
Old, not really selfexplainable snapshots
Your previous reports
Thanks again for your help. The NetBeans development team!

This is nonsense; #174225 is in JavaFX, which I do not even have installed.

Weirder, http://statistics.netbeans.org/analytics/exception.do?id=360441 is shown to be associated with http://statistics.netbeans.org/analytics/detail.do?id=167122, which is not in fact marked as a duplicate of http://statistics.netbeans.org/analytics/detail.do?id=158866 (which does have dozens of snapshots which are probably unrelated to JavaFX and need to be reopened and evaluated). It now in fact links to a new issue, http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=182935, which the Exception Reporter window failed to point me to.

(BTW "filled" is incorrect; you meant "filed". Also "a new bug", not just "new bug".)

ufff. It looks like I should redesign all the 'reopen' system. It becomes confusing even for myself...

You reported the slowness, it was marked as duplicate of #158866, that as an associated bug #174225 - exactly as described in the upload done page.

As a post processing - I found, that a bug #174225 was already fixed and thus started the procedure of possible reopenning and checking if there was not any other issue about the same problem - in this moment I found report #167122 and moved your data there.

I have to move the 'reopen' funcionality into the only one processing with the inicial duplicates analysis to be able to provide correct data. This architecture is old caused by slow connections between reporter and Issuezilla. I have better access to Bugzilla now, so I could benefit of it.

The problem of 'merged' javaFX and your report is that the algorithm didn't find any netbeans code responsible for both problems and thus it merged them together as something 'unknown'.
