Description of target is used as name of action in Menu and Toolbars. If I assume that description can be longer than 2 or 3 words it can be quite anoying to have such long item in menu or toolbar. It could use just name of target.
Why would you make a description longer than you wanted? If you use the shortcut wizard, you are creating an Ant script solely for the purpose of putting it in a menu or toolbar. So its description should be chosen to make sense there.
I mean that if you write description for target, you use probablt sentence which describes what it does e.g. description for release-helper target is: "Help do some things useful when bundling a new Ant release.". So then if I decide to put this target to build menu or to toolbar by action Shortcut to Target I have this sentence in menu or in toolbar, which is not very nice.
Well you have the opportunity to type whatever you want for the shortcut, it just picks up a default from the real target's description. Maybe this could be reopened as a request to put more wording into the wizard panel explaining how the display name will be used.
Resolved for 3.3.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
