This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
If you right click on a package directory and select >>tools>>autocomment the dialog will appear but no classes will be selected for documenting. If you right click on a class file the autocomment item is missing from the tools menu.
I resolved bug which was sticked with win system and bug in serilazation in AutoComment tool. It carry some problem between dev builds, but this is not required to keep setting in dev. Please clear your setting or run NetBeans with different user dir, it will work without problems.
Sorry to be stupid, but I just don't understand what you have said. I gather that there is a project setting that I can disable/enable or delete to work around this problem? If so please tell me what that setting is and where to find it. When I installed the 2.2 beta I deleted my nbdev directory first and did not convert projects during installation. I then rebuilt my project from scratch, (using the same source directories though). I really need to do some java doc, but don't want to go back to 3.2.1.. wcn
Aha! This happens because the surce file (files) are read only! I think a more intuitive behavior would be for the AutoComment item to appear in the menu but be gayed out, (inactive). Change to enhancement request? wcn
It has already been filed as enhancements
