This occurs in Netbeans 6.7 for C/C++ development on Mac OS X.

1. Click on the popup menu of configurations in the toolbar.

2. Select "Customize..."

3. Click "Manage Configurations..." and add a new configuration.

4. Click OK to close the Project Properties window.

5. Now go back to the popup menu.  The newly added configuration is not there.

6. Quit and restart Netbeans.  Now it appears.

I have not found any way short of restarting to get the newly added configuration to appear.  This worked correctly in
6.5.  The problem was introduced in 6.7.
