Description dmladek 2001-07-18 11:23:58 UTC
I've registered to original Bugzilla with email: dmladek@netbeans.com

(I've already fired a bug about mixing this emails(instead netbeans.com address,
now people's address are displayed as netbeans.org))

but 2 days ago I made out that notification emails stop to be send to mail
original netbeans email but to the sun email.
yesturday it turns back and notification email were sent to my original email:
netbeans.com
but today it change back again that I received this notification on my sun's email.

Sounds maybe complicated, but simply saying:
don't change users's configuration several times (if neccesseary, pls do it only
once and give a notice about it)

I have sets of filters which sort my emails and if you send it to different
email/server they can't work

This is because you are in the IZ database as both
dmladek@netbeans.com and dmladek@netbeans.org. During
the transition ALL e-mail addresses were supposed to
be changed to netbeans.org that then pointed to the
address specified in that users' account. There are a
set of users where this transition is not completed. This
is bug number 13440. Once this if fixed, there should be
NO netbeans.com or other such e-mail address referenced in
IZ.

Comment 2 dmladek 2001-07-18 13:27:23 UTC
yeah I know this , but I don't understand why and HOW(technicaly)
emails might be sent tu my sun address if IZ simply doesn't know that
address? I'm sure that IZ doesn't know anything about this email
address: dmladek@sun.com and you didn't mentioned that IZ know it.

Comment 3 mboyer 2001-07-18 14:39:00 UTC
after you login, you can choose "Edit Profile" from your
myStart page. This will allow you to change the e-mail address
that dmaladek@netbeans.org is mapped to.
Comment 4 dmladek 2001-07-18 15:16:59 UTC
hmmm....seems it works after I've change it.
--------------------------------------------
BTW: I still don't understand IZ behaviour:
one day it is mapped to @netbeans.com
second day to @sun.com
third day to netbeans.com
and fourth day it is mapped to @sun.com
--------------------------------------------
But I'm happy you help me to solve it. I hope the changes I made will
be permanet and stable for "long" time:-)
thanks
Comment 5 mboyer 2001-07-18 15:20:24 UTC
Please understand that you will continue to see the behavior
you described. In some of the issues, the issues are INCORRECTLY
marked with a REAL E-MAIL address instead of a netbeans.org
address. This should be fixed when the related bug is fixed at
which point you should no longer see the problem.
Comment 6 mboyer 2001-07-25 12:30:28 UTC
Complete with fix for 13440
Comment 7 dmladek 2003-02-13 16:05:31 UTC
