Description Vince Kraemer 2008-05-02 17:59:28 UTC
outside the projects that they have open in the IDE.

If the user does File->New File, the template chooser forces them to pick a project to be that file's owner...

Sometimes I just want to create a new text file in my home directory or /tmp... and I cannot do that with NB...

Hi vkraemer,

thank you for your report, but there is a way to create files outside IDE.
You can open favorites window (Window > Favorites), right click into that window, press "Add to Favorites" and select
/tmp folder. Now you can easily create new empty file by right clicking on the tmp folder in your favorites. I'm closing
this issue as INVALID for now, feel free to reopen with additional comments if this does not solve your problem.
