Since the release60 branch and change in update centers, the Post release sample nbm is missing. This one has a different process than the backwards compatibility kit so I've logged it separate.
Robert Novak just posted this and I can see it in the plugins manager. Also as mentioned earlier this is not a stopper! Please follow the guidelines when filing a bug. Thanks.
I apologized that I didn't restart the IDE with a new userdir. When I did this issue still exists. So I'm reopening this issue and downgrade this to P2 as discussed. In addition, this can be fixed on the server side without respinning the bits. Robert, this NBM was on the Beta2's beta UC, not stable UC. Is that why it's slightly more complicated to post?
Not to be picky, but according to the high resistence guidelines. only P1's can be fixed, hence P1.
That's true. I agree that it would be a stopper if the Backward Compatibility kit is not posted before RC1 goes live. However, would you stop the release if this particular sample app module cannot be posted on time for RC1? I would think not. In addition, there is a process in place for us to post more modules *after* RC1 is live. Note, this doesn't mean that P2 will prevent the module from being posted to UC. This is a server side change. No respinning the bits neccessary. At any rate, I know that the RE team is feverishly working to resolve all these related issues as a P1 anyway.
No, this was not logged as a stopper P1 - for example, I wouldn't hold up RC1 over it - but it should still be fixed by FCS, so it was logged as a P1. I didn't mean to cause a panic, and I have no issues with downgrading this because it doesn't go into trunk.
I uploaded Beta2 version of Visualweb Post Release Sample module. If update to a new version is needed, please, write it to this issue or contact Michal Zlamal.
Which UC that you uploaded this module to? This http://plugins.netbeans.org/nbpluginportal/updates/6.0/catalog.xml is empty. And for this stable UC http://updates.netbeans.org/netbeans/updates/6.0/uc/final/stable/catalog.xml, this module is not there either. Is there some delay before I can see it in the Plugins manager?
I can't find it either. Where did you publish it Robert? It is not available on any UCs registered in the latest pre-RC1 build.
It is on 6.0 beta UC. BTW I can't find this module on any fo those pages - http://wiki.netbeans.org/wiki/view/NB6BetaModulesUC http://wiki.netbeans.org/wiki/view/NB6StableModulesUC -Michal
The module is on beta UC
I see it there now on 6.0 Beta UC. Thanks. I thought this was added to the page http://wiki.netbeans.org/wiki/view/NB6BetaModulesUC already. I will add it to the page now.
Michal, I just found that the long description of this module contains a typo in it (e.g. "demonstrate" instead of "demonstrates"). The typo has been fixed a while ago in the trunk build or even the RC1 NBM build. Although the typo is only 1 character, it's not correct English grammar. So it would be great if you can repost the newer version of this with the correction. I don't know where the NBMs of the RC1 build are stored, but here is a link to the NBM in the trunk javadoc-nbms build http://deadlock.netbeans.org/hudson/job/javadoc-nbms/lastStableBuild/artifact/nbbuild/nbms/extra/org-netbeans-modules-visualweb-samples-postrel.nbm. That has the correction. Thanks a lot.
done
