Description antodasana 2007-10-03 01:17:07 UTC
1. Create and run the sample Paint Application project.
2. Perform any of these action: create new canvases; dock/undock the tabs.
3. The toolbar grows a little bit every time any of these actions is performed.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or maybe a programming error in the sample application.

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.0 Beta 1 (Build 200709141330)
Java: 1.6.0_02; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.6.0_02-b05
System: Linux version 2.6.20-16-generic running on i386; UTF-8; es_MX (nb)

Hi antodasana,
can you reproduce it in latest stable version of netbeans? I am unable to reproduce it in trunk build:

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200804110003)
Java: 1.5.0_15; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_15-b04
System: Linux version 2.6.24-15-generic running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb)
Userdir: /home/petr/.netbeans/dev

Closing as worksforme.

Hi pchytil.

I'm sorry, but still happenning to me:

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.0 (Build 200711261600)
Java: 1.6.0_04; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 10.0-b19
System: Linux version 2.6.22-14-generic running on i386; UTF-8; es_MX (nb)
Userdir: /home/antonio/.netbeans/6.0

Also in NB6.1beta.

I have tried in both metal and gtk+ l&f having the same results.

Maybe my java 6 version?

I'll be more specific in the steps:

1. Create and run the sample Paint Application project.
2. Perform, MANY TIMES, any of these action: create new canvases; dock/undock the tabs.
3. The toolbar grows AND GROWS IN HEIGHT a little bit every time any of these actions is performed.

Thank you for your tests!
You're right, I was able to reproduce it after few tries on GNOME (even with Metal). It didn't occurred on KDE or XFCE
(my default window manager).

Reopening issue, reassigning to userguide/demosrc for evaluation.
