Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200707171200) 
Java: 1.5.0_07; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_07-87 
System: Mac OS X version 10.4.10 running on i386; MacRoman; en_US (nb)

Problem:
In design view there is no way to navigate/cycle/select elements or complex types

Steps:
In a project, add a new file -> XML -> choose purchase order
In design view there is no way to select and expand elements or types without a mouse

Issue 110009 that this is a duplicate of has been verified as fixed
