Description Michael Nazarov 2007-07-17 14:24:57 UTC
I created XML schema and going to work with Design view but I can't.
Look like content accessible only using mouse while other views (Source and Schema) accessible with keyboard.
Comment 1 Marian Mirilovic 2007-07-17 14:44:14 UTC
Michael,
please use appropriate component for these issues and add A11Y keyword.
*a11y* component is reserved to A11Y tester itself. Thanks in advance.
Comment 2 Michael Nazarov 2007-07-17 14:46:06 UTC
Ahh, Okey! Look like I missed the procedure, will correct.
Comment 3 Samaresh Panda 2007-07-17 16:45:30 UTC
You can always switch to design view using Ctrl+Alt+Pg UP or Ctrl+Alt+Pg DN keys. While you are in the DV, you can
browse through the components using arrow keys. Delete works using Del key.

I agree that it is not pleasant, however, I'll not call it a P1.
Comment 4 Michael Nazarov 2007-07-17 16:54:46 UTC
There is no problem to switch to Design view.
And there is no problem to select elements on Design view using mouse then navigate or delete using keyboard.
Keyboard works on design view content.

But there is no way to switch to Design view then access content using keyboard. Ctrl+Alt+PgUP/Dn combinations just
switch view modes (BTW arrow keys do just the same).

Why is it not P1 while whole area is unaccessible?

Ok, we have case in our specs: Add Attribute to XML, then go to Design view and delete.
Please describe how this can be done without mouse.
Comment 5 Samaresh Panda 2007-07-18 18:40:46 UTC
This is not a P1 because:
- in every modern machines you'll have a mouse to work with (meaning we have a workaround)
- DV was introduced in 5.5EntPack and so far we haven't seen any such complains
Comment 6 Michael Nazarov 2007-07-19 10:57:34 UTC
We are talking about A11Y no?
It's not a question of "Is there mouse or no", it's about "Is it possible to one to use mouse or no". If one unable or
just hard to use mouse (this is A11Y about!) then doesn't matter how often mouse presents on modern workstations.

Once again: A11Y!

I'm not sure about A11Y priorities, but looking at 110337, sounds like you both want this to be a P1, hence I'm
upgrading it to P1.
Comment 9 Mikhail Matveev 2007-07-30 12:12:22 UTC
Agree that bug does exist and that it's P1.
Comment 10 Sonali Kochar 2007-07-30 21:42:30 UTC
Fixed
Comment 11 Michael Nazarov 2007-09-03 16:26:31 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200708310258)

Accessible. But navigation on Design view looks very cutted.
Will file enhancement.
