Topic: Validating XML Schema Files To validate an XML schema file: 1. Open the XML schema file in the Source Editor. The Schema view of the XML schema editor opens with the selected file. If your XML schema file is not valid, the IDE does not show the content of the schema file, instead, a message appears in the center of the view to let you know that the file is not valid. >> As far as I can see, this is incorrect. The message says that the schema is not well-formed. A well-formed file will be shown even if it is not valid. === To get more details about the errors, click the Check XML button in the editor toolbar. >> Again, as far as I can see, the Check XML button checks whether the file is well-formed. Clicking Check XML on an invalid but well-formed file will not produce any errors at all. Please see attached screenshots.
