Some uml OLH image files are missed in l10nkits. They are: uml/core/javahelp/org/netbeans/modules/uml/docs/images/resources/* uml/core/javahelp/org/netbeans/modules/uml/docs/images/resources/toolbar_images/ * In the l10nkits, "resources" dir doesn't exist. All these files are included in en product jar: install_dir/jstudio_ent81/ide/uml2/modules/docs/org-netbeans-modules-uml.jar I can find these image files from nb coco cvs: uml/core/src/org/netbeans/modules/uml/resources/*, it's a little strange that image files are not in uml/core/javahelp/org/netbeans/modules/uml/docs/images This is the root reason why the image files are missed.
These image files do not exist in the help source folders because they are pulled from several locations and copied to the project resource directory using a script *during build time* so they are not part of the l10n kits. This way, we avoid duplication and if the images are changed by engineering, the correct ones automatically show up in the help. This script was in place for the JSE 8 release as well.
Thanks to Rudolf who kindly helped to implement logic in RE build script to copy over source image files to translatedfiles directory before building localized jars. It eliminates the manual step and redundancy. I have verified the build script on a local system. L10N team can now remove those files from translatedfiles/src/uml dir.
I've verified also in built zip file in daily build - used the ja zip and the olh images in ....docs/ja/images/resources/* are there, so as Sheryl mentions, they don't need to be put into translatedfiles and dont need to be in the kit. ken.frank@sun.com
