On selecting "CVS->Show Changes" the versioning view will show:
- changed sources
- new sources in already checked out packages

.. but it will not show:
- new packages (a.k.a. 'missing directories')
- new sources in new packages

This is clearly not what users expect (at least what an Eclipse user will

People use to say that this works somehow in Eclispe so we'll investigate what
we can do about it.
