Description praman 2000-12-15 02:34:06 UTC
In CVS, I selected the pserver option and entered the details
about account and host and cvsroot. When I click OK, it brought
upa login popup, and when I entered my password, it said that login
failed. I am able to use CVS pserver from the same PC (via cygwin bash
shell) to the CVS repository host. Has the pserver functionality
been tested ? How can I see any log that describes the problem it
encountered, or the complete cvs command it attempts to execute.

Re-classifying product to VCSCVS; this is not a netbeans.org CVS issue.
Comment 3 Martin Entlicher 2000-12-18 10:23:59 UTC
The pserver option was tested on Win2000.

In the Login Dialog, there is a tooltip on the "Login failed" textfield. If you
left the mouse on the field for some time, you should see the error message.

Can you please provide the build number ? Did you turn on the Win95/98 support ?
On Win200 it should be off, because the use of cygwin is not necessary and may
cause problems.
Comment 4 Martin Entlicher 2001-01-10 12:34:59 UTC
Bug marked as invalid, since cygwin should not be used on Win2000 and the user
didn't provide enough information.
Comment 5 dmladek 2001-02-04 15:14:59 UTC
I'd rather say that it works for me than invalid.
I've tested it on linux rh70, WinNT4, Win98 without problem
on dev builds and FFJ20

Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
