FWIW, C:\Sun\AppServer is the default installation location for AS' own
installer. does not seem like a bug.

Yes "C:\Sun\AppServer" is default even in latest build 11 of AS 9.0 Update 1.
For such change we need approval from responsible people.

Well I guess lebedkov meant its just not good practise to clutter up the root
installation directory, but instead to use the default 'progam file' directory.

We should use installation path that is used in standalone AS installer for
NetBeans. Maybe, we can report bug/RFE for AS.

As said above we follow default install folder from AS installer. You should
file this issue against AS.
