Description Martin Schovanek 2000-11-20 14:20:56 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
-------------------
1) create directory with some files
2) select it in Explorer
3) click on Cut, click on Paste

IDE remove directory without any warning.
Comment 1 Martin Schovanek 2000-11-20 14:52:59 UTC
[1157IE + PatchWeBelieveMustWork.zip + move-patch.zip] on Linux + JDK1.3
Comment 2 Martin Schovanek 2000-11-20 15:42:59 UTC
In mark 3) you must Paste the directory to himself.
Comment 3 Jesse Glick 2000-11-20 15:46:59 UTC
Probably bug in DataFolder.
Comment 4 Jesse Glick 2000-11-20 15:51:59 UTC
Please pay attention to the Version field! Also the Severity I think is
appropriate; but are you sure this is P2 however (should be fixed)? Clearly it
is a pointless user error to do this sequence of steps, though the IDE is at
fault for behaving very badly in response to it. I.e. no functionality of the
IDE is impeded. Someone should evaluate this carefully for impact.

Did you mean to attach some ZIP files to this bug? If so, I do not see them in
Bugzilla.
Comment 5 Martin Schovanek 2000-11-23 16:23:59 UTC
I agree with you in many thing. But if I can lose all data on the score of
a pointless user error or a mistake. I think so it is bad and P2 is appropriate
priority.
