Description jmalonzo 2006-09-09 22:32:57 UTC
Linux Version: Ubuntu Edgy (updated as of 10-Sep-2006, 07:00 +1000)
JDK Version: 1.5.0 update 08
Netbeans: Netbeans 6 Daily (08-Sep-2006)

Notes: This works in Xorg, but not in Xgl.

I'm using Xgl/AIGLX for my desktop and when I started netbeans 6, it just gives
me a blank screen,i.e., no widgets, buttons, etc... I'm attaching a screenshot
of NB6 under Xgl. I tried running the JDK Swing demos and they work fine under Xgl.

Cheers.

This also happens in Netbeans 5.5 10 Sep 2006 Daily.

After searching this issue, I found that using adding AWT_TOOLKIT=MToolkit in
the environment fixes this. Is it possible to do this automatically so that
netbeans just work out of the box?

Cheers.

Reassigning to "core" for evaluation.
