Description Jan Benway 2000-11-08 17:38:02 UTC
In order to maintain the IDE as a complete development environment, we need to
ensure that access to PDF documentation is available from within the IDE.
Comment 1 Jesse Glick 2000-11-08 20:49:59 UTC
It is. *.pdf recognized in Filesystems, and a special XML DTD:

http://www.netbeans.org/dtds/pdf_link-1_0.dtd

Generate matching XML files giving the stated public ID, place them in some menu
folder, and voila. Launches external PDF reader (Acrobat) for now, user can
customize the path to the application. Works in dev trunk, implemented after
boston.

Of course, reopen this if your bug was meant to be "we need to ensure that there
is, in fact, some PDF documentation there". Currently there is just the
infrastructure for it.
