(own fresh build, 1.6.0-rc-b93, Gnome 2.12.3, Slackware 10.2) Happens relatively often but randomly when editing XML layer of a module. No specific steps to reproduce. Hopefully you will know from attached exception.

I encountered the same exception after using code completion for the <a> element in my layer file.
The problem is already fixed in release55 long time ago.
But likely not merged to the main trunk.

Marek, I'm not able to reproduce the same. Please confirm whether or not the changes you said (likely not merged to trunk) are there in trunk?
I have commented out the language.instance in xml/lexer module layer also in trunk, so now you cannot reproduce. Uncomment and try again.
The bug surfaced as a result of lexer migration. The effort was initiated but will not be in place for 6.0, hence marking this bug as INVALID.
what is the current status...
Tony, I do not know the history of it all, but I think this is no longer an issue. You should verify as per instruction. If it was not invalid, we should have seen this thousands of times between Aug 2006 and now. Editing layer.xml is a common business for module developers.
More so, because we're using lexer since early 6.1 development. New status 'fixed'.
