(own fresh build, 1.6.0-rc-b93, Gnome 2.12.3, Slackware 10.2)

Happens relatively often but randomly when editing XML layer of a module. No
specific steps to reproduce. Hopefully you will know from attached exception.

Comment 2 Jan Pokorsky 2006-09-04 17:44:06 UTC
I encountered the same exception after using code completion for the <a> element
in my layer file.
Comment 3 Marek Fukala 2006-09-19 12:43:33 UTC
The problem is already fixed in release55 long time ago.
Comment 4 Jan Pokorsky 2006-09-19 16:07:16 UTC
But likely not merged to the main trunk.

Comment 6 Samaresh Panda 2007-03-31 17:57:58 UTC
Marek, I'm not able to reproduce the same. Please confirm whether or not the
changes you said (likely not merged to trunk) are there in trunk?
Comment 7 Marek Fukala 2007-04-02 09:09:45 UTC
I have commented out the language.instance in xml/lexer module layer also in
trunk, so now you cannot reproduce. Uncomment and try again.
Comment 8 Samaresh Panda 2007-06-13 22:58:26 UTC
The bug surfaced as a result of lexer migration. The effort was initiated but will not be in place for 6.0, hence
marking this bug as INVALID.
Comment 9 tonybeckham 2008-07-10 21:48:41 UTC
what is the current status...
Comment 10 Samaresh Panda 2008-07-10 23:10:51 UTC
Tony, I do not know the history of it all, but I think this is no longer an issue. You should verify as per instruction.
If it was not invalid, we should have seen this thousands of times between Aug 2006 and now. Editing layer.xml is a
common business for module developers.
Comment 11 Samaresh Panda 2008-07-10 23:15:50 UTC
More so, because we're using lexer since early 6.1 development. New status 'fixed'.
Comment 12 tonybeckham 2008-07-16 20:52:03 UTC
Fix Verified
