No problem of AutoUpdate module, the AU cannot guarantee that all
downloaded&installed module can work. Some module breaks
something fundamental. I assign it to general ide component.

umi, as workaround try to start your IDE with fresh userdir (at least try to
remove <userdir>/modules directory). Please, could you describe what modules and
from where did you install? It helps to investigate what module is broken and
report the bug to proper place. Thanks

No info about the broken module for long time, IMHO I can decrease the priority
a little bit.
Comment 4 _ rkubacki 2006-07-03 08:20:22 UTC
The problem is likely name of home dir - C:\Documents and Settings\M!rc3@
Exclamation mark in URLs will cause troubles resulting in error messages that
can be seen.

Either this is some pretty strange name or there is localization problem. Can
this be a valid name or do create this bad value somewhere in our code?
Comment 5 Jiri Kovalsky 2006-07-03 10:04:39 UTC
I have to say that using exclamation mark (!) in my -userdir works fine. On the
other hand I didn't update anything from AUC. Anyway, can you please umi try to
launch NetBeans using another user directory e.g.:

netbeans.exe -userdir C:\abcd

No response for long time, no plan to fix it in the present.
