I tried to change my M2 project settings. I opened pom.xml file in IDE (5.5-dev
daily build 200606120200) and made modifications. When I tried to save the file
exception was thrown (see attached log file). I closed the IDE but when I opened
it again, my projects tab was empty.

(I can do it myself, but then it's harder to communicate with you, the reporter.)

can you additionally point out what were the changes you made to the pom.xml
file? it seems to be a problem in the maven core codebase..

closing as wontfix, nothign that can be done from netbeans.org codebase
