If you attempt to rename top level package (e.g. tutorial in Development folder)
you will see following dialog 'Package ".tutorial" was renamed to ".newpackage"
..."
There should be no dots before package names.

Already fixed in the main trunk

Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
