This is happening all the time. Sometimes when I go to run a project, 
sometimes when I try to use code-completion in the editor (which will take up 
to 5 minutes to display methods for a class, if it works at all).

ok, after reading some other issues, I've managed to fix this by deleting the 
cache. I'm not sure exactly how it occurred in the first place. Probably due 
to me deleting a file from the project without using refactor?

Issues with the mdr caching seem to cause all sorts of problems with the IDE. 
Perhaps if one of these mdr exceptions is thrown, the subsection of the tree 
in error could be automatically rebuilt.
