From forum posting: http://swforum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?forumID=174&threadID=64858 <start> http://tim.littlebluefrog.com/2005/07/12/eclipse-is-still-my-number-one/ The Test: Open a file and change a method name (add a z to the end or something). This method must be used by another source file where changing the name would cause the compile to complain about not being able to find a symbol. If the IDE gives you no indication that there is now something wrong with the project, it fails the test. ...I really enjoy seeing all errors, all files, packages and projects marked with "error red sign" which contain errors. I do not need to run my Ant builds to see where errors will be (if any), I can virtually see it right away. When I am not using refactoring in IDE, I really find helpful when I do some change, I immediately can see which other Java code was affected, and which has problems now...What is the possibility that this feature will ever be implemented in NB? <end>
It works for me in NB 6.0
