Description djw666 2006-03-22 16:09:24 UTC
The new work flow oriented CVS implementation is a great improvement when
working only in "pure" project oriented development environment.

Some development projects maintain version controlled files outside of a
netbeans based project tree.

When using the new NB5.0 buildin CVS it is not possible to manage files that are
not inside a Netbeans project. It appears that only files in "open" projects are
managed by the CVS.

This is great if all of your files are in the project tree, not so great if you
have files in a non-Netbeans project directory tree that you manage in your CVS
repository.

The adding a file system view for the "mounted" CVS trees in the new NB5.0 CVS
would be very useful for developers who manage more that just Netbeans Projects
in their CVS repositories.

Lastly, I understand that the Generic CVS module is available for NB5.0. I am
using it.

Have you tried to use "Favorites" view? In this view you can manage your sources
(not only projects).
