Description phavardel 2006-02-27 17:33:19 UTC
Netbeans 5.0 was shutting down at random on me - doing anything, just typing,
saving, scrolling, whatever. I noticed in the err output a list of libraries
found on the system. The last one was AllChars.DLL - from a program called
AllChars that allows accented characters to be typed on a standard US keyboard
easily.

As long as I kill AllChars before starting NetBeans, I do not have any problems.

I add this only because if this happens with AllChars, it may also happen with
other DLLs.

Interesting. Thank you for the report.

What version of AllChars do you use?
Comment 2 phavardel 2006-02-28 15:26:41 UTC
I'm using 3.6.2
Comment 3 Jan Chalupa 2006-02-28 15:32:54 UTC
I see. The author mentions patch 3.6.3 on the home page:

"If you have problems with v3.6.2, install the v3.6.3 patch."

Unfortunately, they do not mention any details on what problems the patch is
supposed to fix. I'm wondering if it could help in this case.
